Time for your Spring Cleaning

It's Springtime again. Have you had San Diego PC perform the Annual Spring Cleaning to your PC yet? Summer is almost here - you don't want to forget about the maintenance that is due on your computer(s).

Happy Computer By doing some basic maintenance on your PC this time of year, you can certainly enhance the prospects of it making it through the Summer without problems.

In almost every case, your computer should be checked out for Virus and Spyware issues. NOTE: this week, there is a particularly nasty virus that is being spread via email. In addition, the computer needs to be opened up and get the dust & dirt blown out of it so that it will not overheat during the hotter months that will be upon us very soon.

The only exceptions to this are those machines that San Diego PC has serviced inside & out recently. You know who you are!
What I will do when you schedule a Spring Cleaning:

* Shut down the computer and remove it from your desk or network
* Open up the case and clean the dust & dirt that has collected in the:
o Case Cooling Fan
o Case Hard Drive areas
o Power Supply Fan
o CPU Cooling Fan
o CPU Heat Sink
o All MotherBoard Heat Sinks
* Restart, update Antivirus definitions and perform a scan. Offending objects will be removed without exception!
* Install Spyware Protection if none exists.
* Update Spyware Signatures and perform scan/removal procedure
* If you choose, I will install San Diego PC's Remote Access software. This is a new service that allows me to remotely access the computer in order to perform monthly maintenance on a time schedule arranged by you.

Remember - just as you perform regular maintenance on your vehicles, the computer needs it too. Why leave your important Data to chance? Allow San Diego PC to take complete care of your computer and all of the important information within it.
