Apparently, I was given in accurate information about my diet before the surgery. I should have had the biopsy yesterday but when talking to them before the surgery, they asked what I had eaten that day. My wife and I were careful to follow the instructions we received last week yet they actually canceled my surgery yesterday because I had eaten too late in the day!
Frustrating!
They also called back later to tell me that the surgery has been postponed for a full week until next Wednesday. Until then, she warned me, not to take aspirin, painkillers, or anything that thins the blood.
This was completely new information that had not been said before. I had a week advance of the last scheduled appointment so why did they not tell me this before? I have been regularly taking ibuprofen for pain relief right up until the day before I was supposed to have this surgery. So I am to assume now, if I had the surgery yesterday I would've had a brain bleed as a result of taking the medicines I have been taking. MAN! who do you trust?

Wow, sadly I am not surprised you had to go thru that! It is their responsibility(MD, RN, surgery schedulers) to notify the patient in advance about meds to withold prior to any procedure! Well, it's a week... anyway, wouldn't it be awesome if when they went in for the biospy, they couldn't find anything?! as the Grandmaster Fu already worked with you and God and you are ALREADY HEALED! =)
and if you found out that you just had to go home and drink up a bunch of tasty chinese teas! =)
xoxo
