Well, classes are finally over for this season and I can devote my time back where it needs to be, running San Diego PC.
We've got some vacation time coming up this next month and a lot of work to do before that can happen! My many thanks to the hundreds of customers that have helped San Diego PC get to where it is today. It's hard to build a small business these days, in this industry. I appreciate (very much!) all of the people that entrust their equipment and their data to myself and my company.
There are a lot of things that have contributed to the longevity of the company and I take great pride in them. Of course, I know how to work on a computer. But being able to speak in public is another. I give frequent presentations to clients and potential customers, using my Toastmasters Skills very often. If you have ever wished you could give better presentations, or wanted to learn what Toastmasters has to offer, please let me know. It is by far, the best communications and leadership package available. And it's almost free!
If I was to make another suggestion for anyone wanting to build a small business, it would be for them to join a business referral group. There are thousands of them out there. The only requirement is that you are willing to provide leads for those in your group and tell them how to best provide the same for you. I've been in many of these groups over the years, and I can tell you that a good one is a terrific benefit.
I am actively building my business. What that means is that I rely on a couple of things: Your referrals and your phone calls. Any and all of my existing customers can call San Diego PC and talk to me directly. I spend a lot of time on the phone, explaining things or answering questions that are asked of me by existing clients. They all know that I'm available for them. But I also need referrals!
Whether from my existing business group or from clients who I currently work with, I ask that you let me know how to reach others. You know people that I don't know. You know people who use computers too! I know you do!! Please, refer them to my website or this blog so that I may be at their doorstep when they need me.
Remember, the time to let them know about me is BEFORE there's a breakdown or an emergency. Searching for a trustworthy computer technician when your systems are down is like digging a well when you're thirsty. It's backwards. Enable me to take care of your friends and neighbors by providing an on-site, on time repair for them.
Thank you.
